Atholl Lodge is situated on a quiet and leafy residential street in the South Birmingham suburb of Acocks Green. Atholl Lodge is ideally placed between Birmingham city centre to the north and the NEC, Birmingham International Airport and Solihull to the south. With excellent motorway transport links to South Birmingham, it is easy to travel to Atholl Lodge by car.

The guest house is a five minute walk from Acocks Green railway station which is on the Chiltern London Marylebone to Birmingham line. There is a frequent rail service between Solihull, Acocks Green and Birmingham, with the journey time being approximately 7 minutes from Acocks Green to Solihull and Acocks Green to Birmingham. If travelling to Atholl Lodge from London Euston, it is easy to disembark at Birmingham International and to take the 11c bus or a fifteen minute taxi ride.

Acocks Green is served by numerous bus routes, including the Outer Circle (11a / 11c) which is the longest urban bus route in any European city
